We’re proud to share that CT Mechanical’s very own Catherine Tojaga has returned to her alma mater on the board of advisors.
Founded in 1890, Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) is the #1 university in Illinois for lifting students from families in the bottom 20% of income to the top 20% (source). Every day IIT works to provide relevant education in an environment of scientific, technological, and professional knowledge creation and innovation. The school’s passion for giving students the tools they need to solve important problems facing humanity plays a big part in the energy Catherine brings to our projects and clients.
“Growing up in the near south side of Chicago, I had no idea when I was going to college or what I was doing. IIT gave me opportunities that I would not have gotten anyplace else. I learned the most valuable skills about running a company when I was 19 years old, gaining experience as the editor-in-chief of Tech News. The school makes a difference in young people’s lives every day—and I am living proof.” — Catherine Tojaga
From building rockets and understanding space policy to radio and esports clubs to community service projects, IIT is an amazing school ripe with opportunity for students. In fact, the school was recently ranked #2 in the country in educational ROI for universities that enroll more than 30% Pell grant students (source).
“I am honored and excited to help guide the future of IIT. Every student deserves the chance to achieve greatness. I promise to help make that a reality and improve education opportunities for those who attend IIT,” said Catherine.
CTM couldn’t be more pleased to see our founder support the great institution that helped her get where she is today. To learn more the work Catherine does with IIT, visit their website.
